Ralph Perfetto

Ralph was born in Coney Island on July 19, 1934, twenty-two years to the day after his mother in the same house. He lovingly describes growing up in Coney Island in remarkable specifics, including stories of local individuals, their diversity, their lives. He tells of things like the various jobs he had as a young man -- including picking up coal from the Knickerbocker Coal and Ice Company, picking tomatoes and string beans at the local farms and tending to the horses at the local stable -- and he recounts details of local heroes and their context.

Ralph Perfetto passed away on July 12, 2023 at the age of 88.
