Howie Lipstein

At the time of this interview, Howie was in Coney Island on opening day to ride the Cyclone for the 50th year in a row. He was accompanied by his family, who have also been riding the Cyclone for years. Howie brought his wife to Coney Island shortly before they were married. He told her she had to ride the coaster or the wedding was off! He remembers riding during the period the operators ran the cars backward on the tracks - called The Backfire. He still carries a brass ring from the B&B Carousell on his key chain.
